Wood geocoins are the result of an afford to find a cheap, small, and ecological item for trade in geocaching boxes – caches. Origin comes from Czech, therefore you can often hear Czech Wood Geocoin or other variations like German Wood Weocoin or English Wood Geocoin. Despite the confusing word “geocoin”, wooden geocoins were originally personal non-trackable items. Nowadays you can have personal trackable wood geocoins too. Wooden geocoins were created a few years before and today evolved into an obsession for many cachers. Geocachers collect them, trade them, and share them as personal gifts.
